Catholic Relief Services No Longer Funded by Gaylord Diocese

After years of notification by faithful Catholics, we have received word that the Diocese of Gaylord will not be giving to Catholic Relief Services as part of its Catholic Services Appeal.  The following was published in the bulletin of Holy Rosary Church in Cedar on March 29, 2020:

Note from Fr. Libby about CRS

I recently corresponded with the Diocese about my concerns with CRS (Catholic Relief Services) being part of the CSA campaign, and some of you have also had concerns.  I was pleased to hear that the Diocese is planning to remove CRS from CSA this year, so that we can all be reassured that our money is not going to be used in ways that are not in line with Catholic Teaching.

Thank you to Fr. Libby for this intervention.  We will continue to monitor the CSA appeal this year for transparency and accountability.
