A single dedicated individual can inspire and spur on others to make our communities better. This is also relevant in the Diocese of Gaylord. One example is Bill Price. He is restoring the historic St. Charles Borromeo in Cheboygan. He has done the work for the most part by himself, although he is quick to credit the assistance of others.
His work can be accessed here . He has a lot of work still to do.
Historic preservation can be of significant benefit for any community. But when it is combined with a zeal for God, this adds infinitely more to the health of the citizens in and around the Church.
Thus far, the Diocese of Gaylord has not been involved in any way with this restoration. We hope and pray that the Diocese and Mr. Price can mutually benefit and support this effort to enhance the faith of the Cheboygan area.
