Father Rolando Silva Resigns

Gaylord Diocesan Watch has been informed that Father Rolando Silva has resigned from his position as pastor of St. Ignatius Church in Rogers City.  This was announced yesterday at the parish. Gaylord Diocesan Watch reported on this in the recent past.  Gaylord Diocesan Watch is not able to locate Fr. Silva’s whereabouts or what his future will be, if any, as a Catholic priest.  Gaylord Diocesan Watch is not aware of any impropriety on the part of Fr. Silva to warrant his resignation.  The permanent exiting of Fr. Silva is yet another strain on the priest shortage in the Diocese.

Gaylord Diocesan Watch encourages all readers to pray for the mind, body, and soul of Fr. Silva, for healing of whatever has led to his resignation, and for continued prayers for all priests religious of the Diocese.
